Okies guys - it looks like I will be starting production of this soon. I've found a freeware game engine that is relatively simple to use, and lends itself to this sort of project.

You oughta involve eradicating spambots as a mini game 
DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them

No, seriously, it's GameMaker 6.1
I created a (craptastic) test game for it already just to get a feel for how well it would work. It's pretty flexible, simple to use, has its own inherent scripting language, and has a decent community for support purposes.

Okay, I need to do a bit more planning before I work on the interface, I've already revised my ideas.
I don't think that it will end up being quite as grand as I originally planned, at least not in the first version - toooooo many variables to keep track of.
However, if you'd like to be featured in it (crew members /admins are automatically going to be featured), please post and let me know.
