AFAIK, rewriting the whole engine of DCotE because Bethesda demanded that they'd make the game for the X-Box was the main reason for going bankrupt. They had made good progress when they had to switch publishers, only got Bethesda to publish the game and ended like this.

Things that have happened since last time a post has been made here.
Engine switch to something much more powerful, primarily created for FPS games. A few testers have been working out quirks and etc. Busy creating a website, currently searching for a webhost, paying.
Biggest change - the whole concept changed, it's no longer a western shooter, but details are not going to be layed out

Cost $50 instead of the $100 I had to pay for Torque, but strangely, when I booted it up, I already found it easier to use, with way more stuff, and way more supported features.
Ragdoll physics and destructable environments and large amount of enemies on screen at once for example, and almost instant 3D model integration.
It's a dream.
