Black Sabbath- Heaven And Hell Always been a goal to check some of Sabbath's stuff out, and well not going to check out the Ozzy era just yet, cause personally the Dio Era was just as good if not better, and plus since going to their concert Dio Era Sabbath on March 13, with Megadeth supporting might as well learn the songs as best I can. :) Anyways back to the album, great start, Dio sounds amazing, as does Iommi, Butler and Ward, fantastic album all around.

Automatic for the People- REM
heard mixed opinions on this one, kinda straying from the REM formula, but I've heard it's their best

Picturesque- the Decemberist
haven't heard much of this band, but they kind of have a quirky victorian charm about them

Black Sabbath- Dehumanizer Finally managed to luck out and find this album and wow what a great album, with the return of Dio to the band in 1992, this is surely a classic album, much more darker in vein, talking about interesting subjects, very cools, listening to this one a lot because thats the word going around that the band will play a lot of songs from this album on their tour, whoo March 11 I'll be there. :)

Nick Cave - Murder Ballads cd

I ordered it a few days ago from eBay, and it arrived today.  Very dark cd, but it's brilliant.  Nick Cave is an excellent singer.   :)

definitely maybe - Oasis
sure, maybe their modern stuff sucks, maybe they're massively overrated, maybe they rip off songs by other artists, but if that's the price to pay for Wonderwall, then it's a necessary evil

I finally managed to get hold of the debut album by E-Z-O. I've been after this for a while, and it is SO hard to find.

A brilliant cd, from start to finish.   :P

Megadeth- That One Night In Buenos Aires Majorly cheap live dvd from their 2005 show in Argentina, 9.99 where I got it, seen a few tracks and not bad thus far, this was the show where Dave announced that Megadeth would be continuing on (at the time were just touring for the sake of touring) and would be recording a new album (which comes out May 15 of this year) Still wish they had included the entire concert, 7 songs were cut from the show, but alas thats the way it goes.

Red Dragon
Just finished watching. I have to admit I expected far worse. Definitely one of the best book to movie transforms I've seen. Both Edward Norton and Anthony Hopkins excel in their characters and most of the actors do good work. Harvey Keitel is apparently very reliable actor and must be mentioned after right after Norton and Hopkins. What I was most surprised of, was that the story was kept nicely together, cutting only few least meaningful parts away, except for Francis Dolarhyde's youth was left little too vague, however it was made clear that his youth was indeed problematic. Greatest and worst part of the movie was still the feeling. It did not go to scare the crap out of people scaring, but neither did it succeed too well in building the atmoshpere. This is the only minus I found from it at first time. One, which might be considered minus, but is understandable on the other hand, is how speech, descriptions of mutilations etc were cleaned of most disturbing things. There were many places I remember quite well from the book that differed little too much, as I finished reading it this morning. I even still can't understand why Hollywood can't go along same lines as literature, even if it doesn't have to be visual effects, only descriptions in speech.

Overall nice compact movie, with only small atmospherical problems. I can understand if my reading affected me and how I experienced it, thus I may ignore the atmospheric lack little too much. Don't know.

4/5

Helloween- Master of the Rings Recently started to get some of their material, and the only albums that elude me are the Keepers of the seven keys album parts 1 and 2 and chameleon which will be picking up at some point, anyways to this album this was their "comeback" essentially after the disasterous chameleon popish album they did and what an album, quite interesting and definitely a step in the right direction with new singer Andi Deris and their new drummer, quite interesting and with a bonus cd with some extra tracks make it even better.

Gah! Interpol couldn't hold a candle to the original and best!

Just ordered the new Modest Mouse album (hadn't realised there was one out) - looking forward to that, it's got Jonny Marr on it, and Good News For People Who Love Bad News is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Yay!

I bought The Beautiful Struggle by Talib Kweli, it's a pretty nice album, but some of the songs are really gay, especially since that tard R. Kelly or whatever did the production on one of the songs (I can't remember which, but I'm pretty sure it sucks) although the main draw of the album is the song the album is named after, which is really slick, and he just sounds fantastic in that.

A bunch of really lame songs with some good ones.
The cover is gay though, I hate the cover, it looks like poop.
