New Chilis album arrived this morning, I'm halfway through the first CD and enjoying it so far - hope it doesn't degenerate into filler like BloodSugarSexMagick did :P

EDIT: First CD held up well, will have to try the second tomorrow.

Listened to 10,000 days by Tool, whoa it's a pretty good album, compared to lateralus it holds it own and is really different, some great tracks on it, very impressed. :P

Well I came in with no expectations after listening to Lateralus just recently got the album, so it was pretty good, different style and that's what I liked that they did, good stuff that they pulled it off.

Rhapsody- Symphony of Enchanted Lands II Although you might think this is a sequel to the first album, it's actually a different story in the lands of this place. (Yes it's very fantasy based, you should see the booklet's these guys put out, so much backstory, craziness) Anyways this is actually a very nice album, very epic sounding and really enjoying it so far, it even has Christopher Lee narrating in a few places, so cool. :P

Just bought Zook - Root Canal Recovery

A great debut album from a great (Finnish) band. Excellently played, pure rock'n'roll with a slight blues flavor. And with Jukka Jylli in bass and especially Sami Kuoppamäki in drums (both Jukka and Sami being of Kingston Wall fame) how could the album be bad? Kuoppamäki is (IMHO) at least very close to being THE BEST studio drummer in Finland, and in addition the vocalist Bryn Jones fits the music perfectly.

It's an excellent first album even though the slight studio feeling on it still can't beat a live gig from them. And it's great to see Jukka Jylli and Sami Kuoppamäki playing on the same band again, they play extremely well together.
What is it about a beautiful sunny afternoon, with the birds singing and the wind rustling through the leaves, that makes you want to get drunk?

I just got Rakim's Anniversary album, it's really good.

He's a great rapper, and he delivers rap at an incredibly fast speed.

Mighty Rearranger? 's not bad at all, that - a bit of filler but some good tracks on there, especially the single.

Portishead - Portishead.

In-flipping-credible. I bought it due to my love for "Only You", but the rest of the album is just... amazing... hurrah for chilled-out trip-hop!

Megadeth- Cryptic Writings- Picked this album up yesterday and it's pretty good overall, Dave Mustaine had the idea to mix some popish music with metal and there are some metal tracks and some poppy ones, it blends well I think and really liking the album.

Megadeth- The World Needs A Hero A return for Megadeth back to their roots which they actually pulled off unlike Metallica, but I digress, anyways some really strong tracks on this album like moto psycho, 1000 Times Goodbye, Return to Hangar, superb work from the mastermind. :P
