Emu farm eh, wouldn't be surprised if we have one here. We have a llama/Alpaca farm here of all places that you would imagine llamas to be, much less a farm.
Well, I suppose llamas would still consider the Canadian climate rather mild.;)

Emus in Finland sounds a bit odd, though. Wouldn't they freeze to death??

Some tragic news. These things happens way too often ;)

Newborn baby left behind in a backyard in Boston.

Newborn baby spends more than 24 hours burried in an armadillo burrow in Laranjeiras, Brazil

Luckily both of these kids survived, but it never ceases to amaze me how far desperate people will go to rid themselves of unwanted children.

In the local paper where I live, they showed three pictures of the Brazilian kid. 1 of him inside the burrow, 1 as he was taken out, and 1 where the placenta was removed. It's a miracle that he survived.

Link to a picture showing the kid in the burrow. Might not be good for those with a weak stomach. Which is why I have only shown the link, and not the actual photo.

Yeah no kidding sad to hear about these things. ;)

There have been 2 recent cases over here, one where a women used her baby to hit her boyfriend, actually used the baby.

The other one where a woman was sentenced think it was either 10 years or life in prison for suffocating her baby and throwing it over the fence, some were saying it was a harsh sentence since it was the first of it's kind since generally the media says in that type of case would have prob gotten a couple or 3 years the most or psychatric care.

AJ, Beefy, actually they are kept inside most of the time in winter, but sent out for couple of hours, if the temperature doesn't go too low. Meaning emus can survive easily subzero temperatures for several hours, and below -10 couple of hours. They wouldn't take them out, if the animals suffered. They actually love the snow, or so one of the owners claimed. And thinking of it, where they live, it can get pretty low too, so reducing temperature a little isn't actually a problem. Biggest reason birds that size doesn't live in arctic and semiarctic regions is plainly lack of food during the winter. Unless they change their diet, of course! ;)

Borat helps Croatia win against England (notice the ad), I'm not sure if this should go to funny videos or current events, probably both ;)

DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them
DakaSha:and you have a class of little kids hitting eachother with rubber dongs which must be quite funny (also Picklweasel knight I am)

I'll take the Government Abused Chicken, please... and could I get a little of that Strange Chopping Fish on the side? To take notice of thanks, the gratitude is very honest. ;)

I'm sure that everyone with neo-nazi symphaties or ideology who have visited Beijing has visited Racist Park. Though I don't know how many neo-nazis would go to Beijing... ;)

Happened few minutes ago:

I was sitting in toilet, unfortunately without gas mask, when all of the sudden I hear lots of noice, pawing door, doorhandle moving etc. I was like what the hell is that dog doing? She's half year old tibetian terrier, which is small race and thus can't reach anything. Until it stands up to its hinds. I decided to take a breath and see what that terrorist terrier has now done and found my door open, which I keep closed to prevent Siiri from eating my bed-sheet, clothes, etc. I can't find anything missing and Siiri is nowhere visible. Then I go after the destroyer-of-all-things and find her with a box of matches in her mouth. Well, that's nothing special, but I'm wondering, how on earth could she open my door?!?!?! I studied how high she can reach and found out that not quite high enough. She must have jumped to it...

As I'm writing, I'm terrified of the sounds that I hear, so I must go prevent more destruction...
