This game just looks plain awesome, the graphics are incredible. Not only that, but it's going to be the first Flight Simulator game where you can fly ALL around the world. You can make a stop in Paris to refuel, then fly over to Germany and such, the terrain, like mountains and rivers are all accurately modeled from satellite imaging, and so are the cities. That means you can fly over Cape Town for example, and see that same little road you walked down around Table Mountain.
It's totally nuts, the loading is seamless (kinda like San Andreas) so it loads as you go, you can't really notice it.
Looks like it's going to be an amazing step in the right direction.

Wow. I've always had a soft spot for the MS Flight Sim games. A flight school from whom I used to rent a plane used it in an immersive sim cockpit with cessna 152 controls to teach basic airmanship. It'll never replace a real plane for seat of your pants flying. However, as a training aid--especially for instrument training, it's pretty damn close.
The likelihood I'll ever fly from the left seat of a Lear 45 is pretty low, so it's nice to be able to hop into one virtually, pick an airport, push the thottles forward and climb at best speed to FL20 without having to worry about the fuel bill I'm incurring.
Good times.

Flightgear didn't have all the airports in the world or it rather didn't even have all the countries, and it wasn't barely as detailed.
I mean this game lets you fly around the ENTIRE world, like everything conceivable.
