Times are changing though Tulac get with the times. Granted the sequels thing you mentioned earlier is correct and really it's getting annoying but come on I think the Sims take the most sequels awards.

Portable, only in laptops - which tend not to be so great, gaming-wise. In fact, portability is one of the areas in which consoles have PCs have beat hands down. It's a ton easier to cart your Xbox to a gaming party than it is to cart your tower - and it's a lot easier, more sociable, interactive, and fun to hook up a bunch of Xboxes than it is to hook up a a bunch of PCs.

But as it was mentioned how the PC has changed in 6 years (it hasn't), I thought I would point out that consoles actually have changed quite a bit in the last six years. I wouldn't call these aspects innovative altogether, as it is mostly catching up with the PC world, but it makes consoles sort of like the Japan of the gaming world - they went from creative, but almost archaic, to ultra-modern in an astoundingly short period of time, and are now beating PCs to the punch.

The fact that PCs had those things so long ago, and still only have those things is kind of the point.

Endless sequals and expansions, all completely similar is a problem all systems seem to have, though.

What more should pc's have, then? It can't be a choise of controllers, as I have more then 3 special pc controlers lying around on the attic.
I'm sure there are things to add to pc, but at the moment it's easier to add things to consoles (with the rivalry on the market it's even vital) which generally... have less going as a standard. but very, very few of these things strike me as real innovation beyond daring to do what was tried long ago.

Ok, to clarify my point
Currently the system most complete is not challenged enough to try and innovate while the consoles are going through a development that mainly consists of doing old things on a greater scale.

Actually that would be Everquest.

And...PC > counsels. N offense, but I counsels anoy the heck out of me. PC is extremely more moddable, yes, you "may" be able to distribute custom made maps for some games over live (zomg Pariah! pfft) but lets face it, moding will NEVER come as far on counsels as it has on the PC, yes, the PSP n DS may be modale, but its harder to develop a modding community, because you can't distribute the "mods" very well. Wheras with PC gams like say...Half Life, one of the main reasons you buy them in the first place is because of the community. Plus, counsel online gaming will NEVER out do PC online gaming, which these days is pribly the PCs strongest "gaming" aspect, personally I don't buy games (excluding the rare few) that don't have online play.

Uh...k...I guess maybe, but, personally I'd rather take HL2s physics, Oblivions graphics and huge interactivity over the ability to hop between planets and wave a remote around.   As for prettier yes I suppose, but then again thats mainly the whole point of nintendo, you buy nintendo for fluffy and pretty titles like Mario and Kirby ish things, not for games with better graphics but not "pretty". And I just don't find counsel games interactive...yeah, games like DDr may be interctive up the shiznat, but I just don't find them really fun...pretty much the only reason I own a GC / PS2 is for fighters and FF, thats it. Sigh...once sombody reads this $5 says they're gonna go on about Katamari . And, the one thing that really screws me up is that, WTF IS SONIC DOING ON THE 360!?!?!
