Did anyone hear Yngwie Malmsteens version of the Zelda theme? Great stuff!
Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

Sorry Tai not my cup of tea there version, way too cheesy. Actually once when I played that song on my comp it froze near the beginning, maybe a sign of sorts?

Thinking about it, I remember that Homeworld : Cataclysm's menu music was incredibly good...

Homeworld had good music, but if you're looking for amazingly well done orchestral and vocal opera you should check out the God of War soundtrack, it rivals the quality of LOTR's soundtrack.

I've heard a lot of good mention about the god of war soundtrack around, sounds like it's very epic then.

I liked Klepacki's remixes of the old C&C themes in C&C Renegade.
Besides that there is also Morrowind and Oblivion (mostly the main theme)
Star Wars: Republic Commando had some good themes as well.
Beyond Good & Evil had an excellent score.
Lastly, a game that had great 'music' that was very suitable in game, but terrible to listen to outside of the game: Thief II

Another soundtrack that was memorable I thought was Pharoh's it fit the game so perfectly the different music tracks that were used.

Yeah fairly but the music still holds up compared to the next game Zeus, Pharoh has better music I think, the game is just freakin long to complete though.
