Why aren't you allowed no-cd cracks for games that you legally bought?
My legal copy of Operation Flashpoint was afflicted with FADE, which is the anti-piracy software which seemingly only works on paying customers!
When I got a no-CD crack on the other hand, it worked perfectly!
But anyway, onto Deus Ex...
What's everyone's favourite bit?
I would say that environment-wise, Hong-Kong would be my favourite, but the missions in New York are the better made ones.
I would also say that Paris is too hard, much harder than the rest of the game, due to the huge amounts of robots around and the fact that it's just after the bit where everyone uses all of their explosives.

The beginning part up until till you hit Lebedev was definitely fun, Hong Kong was fun at first but then got boring having to go around with those missions I found, Paris was interesting, the catcomb exploration was cool.

Otherwise I presume it's classed as a Hack on the source code. Which is of course illegal. I'm talking crapola though so just ignore.. it's a guess and nothing more.
Hong Kong I got bored at.. I could have done it but I got fed up running around like a muppet.

Hong Kong was just too long but some enjoyable elements.
The bad voiceovers though *cringes*

The AI in Deus Ex was DIRT STUPID!
I could place scenes in my head where guards would run chasing me around corners bumping each other with the Benny Hill theme playing in the background.
But otherwise it was awesome, I beat it a couple of times, but it's just waaay easier with good rifle skills.

Yeah the AI was pretty bad.
So many times you just have to wait for them to come around the corner and bam gun em down.

I got bored in NY so I went and got the summoning cheat. I still remember it clearly. 100 Buddha statues....
.Then the grey alien things. But it was great when you summon the mines, because they don't spawn as a drop you can pick up, but as the actual mine. Summoned about 50 I think with 256 RAM and it lagged horribly, and blew up everything in sight! But yeah, as soon as I can pry this damn DVD drive open, that's what im playin. Until then, Dungeon Siege will have to do.

actually if you summon weaponlam that way instead of summon lam, the mines won't denotate on ya and you can pick em up for later use.

Yeah, but summoning lams is handy if you have a target in mind but no LAMs.
Knowing that Paris was coming up after the supertanker, I summoned LAMs to sort that bit out, rather than losing all of LAMs for the most robot-infested (and these are those really hard robots) part of the game.

Yeah I agree when that part when ya got to crawl out of the sewer to face those many robots, that's hard, there is one sewer manhole that leads close to a terminal though where you can shut down the bots, so always look for that every time I play from now on.

What did you guys think of the multiplayer? I thought it was great. I loved being able to send the recon scout drone thing out and detonating it and wiping out people's battery charge thing. Sorry, I haven't played in a while so I can't really remember the specific names of things. It was definitly fun playing deathmatch. And I love how you can use the augmentations in multiplayer as well. Most games strip multiplayer down. And how you can find those boards with the weapons, that's great. Nice and easy, pick what you want. I always ran around with the crossbow poisoning people.
