Just bought it as budget for 9 euros.

Nice work, I must say. Altough the combat system is quite bad and balancing your production needs experience. Music is quite good.

Settlers reminder.

I used to love these games when I was younger! I bought most of the series, but quit playing it after the repetition of building new cities over and over became unbearable. Emperor is still pretty fun though and second only to Zeus

Yeah, I own Emperor.
I played multiplayer for a bit, but it wasn't as addictive as say Pharaoh or Caeser III (the best city management game evar!).

I own Ceasar III, Zeus, Pharaoh and Emperor... but they all become boring after a few days.
Still, there is nothing quite like seeing a huge well-planned city running smoothly in Ceasar III (not a very common experience though)

Guess I'll have to find Ceasar III then.

You'd be amazed how readily available it will be in your local shop, and if that fails:

If your trying to track down Cesaer III try to find the great empires collection they used to sell, comes with Cesear III, pharoh, cleopatra expansion to pharaoh, and later ones had Zeus and the expansion to Zeus.

I think I can still buy that pack in stores (though there is no need as I already have the games)

Just note that Caeser III is incredibly difficult compared to say Pharaoh or Zeus.

Constantly under-employed, money problems, extremely annoying fires/etc.
It's really tough, but it's incredibly fun.

It's true, there are constantly employment problems.
I remember being happy at the rising unemployment level, as that meant all jobs were taken and everything was running at 100% (what a skewed sort of logic).

Yeah, but your people start getting annoyed and criminals and accidents become  more common.

At least it isn't like Pharaoh, where the game was kinda tough just because there was so much unemployment.

I didn't like as Caesar as much as the other games, it seemed like your only goal was "Expand" as opposed to constructing monuments and conquering cities in the other games.

Meh, the battles in the city building games were really lame.
