Interesting concept
Graphics are alright

Challenge level high
Controls are hard at first

If your looking for some quick pick up and play action this is the title for you. If you like gladiator fights then this is the sort of game, you should check out. It is simple though, choose your equipment, get ready, and fight that is the premise of this game as you go forth to become a great gladiator.

There is no story in the game, so if you expecting this epic story about a gladiator whom goes forth against all odds and emerges victorious you're not going to find that here. The premise of the game is to build up your gladiator through winning different fights against other gladiators, the money you make by winning these battles will allow you to improve your gladiator in battle. How so you may ask, well you can buy better weapons, armor, helmets, etc.

The graphics overall are alright, they are nothing special and they really aren't too detailed in terms of when your fighting. This is an interesting concept that has been chosen for the game, just pick it up and start playing around, nothing wrong with that I say. One of the issues though with this is the actual fighting itself. The game is set up so you move your fighter with the keyboard and use the mouse to attack. Not by clicking no, holding down the left mouse button and moving the mouse say up, will raise your gladiators sword up and moving it down will bring it down, this allows for different kinds of attacks.

Herein lies the problem, it will take you some time probably to get used to this style of fighting and really does have a degree of strategy to it. This may frustrate some gamers who want to start fighting away and they may get frustrated when you see the computer start to lay waste to you. Buy designer cheap prom dresses online. The A.I in the game is good at first, first time through you will probably get a few defeats by it. Getting used to the controls took some getting used to and that was not easy but even with practice it still may take you some time to get used to the style.

Still if your looking for something to just pick up and start playing this is the title for you, if you can get past the high difficulty and the control scheme check out The Forge.
