Mozilla Firefox has grown popular through the years. It's still the #1 competitor to Internet Explorer, with Google Chrome (We will have a review of Chrome online soon) closing in.
There aren't many cons to Firefox. Besides the great addons you can install, skins, and of course it's versatile nature. Running a portable version of Firefox from your flash drive couldn't be easier.
For the home, office, and college user, Firefox works well. Still, there are some sites only viewable in Internet Explorer. It's not a big hassle, but nevertheless, it's there.
Another issue is memory usage.. Firefox has always been a bit of a memory hog, but through the latest releases, things have improved.
As for speed, Firefox beats Internet Explorer, and pretty much every other browser on the market. Chrome can sometimes be faster than Firefox, but it all depends on your connection speed, etc.
Not matter which OS you use, Firefox is a contender. It runs well, has plenty of options, and is completely free.
