STORY
This game may look a bit familiar to all you Dizzy fans out there.  And there's a good reason for that.  This is Fantasy World... but it's in winter time!  Apparently, Dizzy's girlfriend, Daisy has been kidnapped... again!  And so it's up to poor Dizzy to rescue her... again!  He bravely sets of for Fantasy World, so he can save his beloved Daisy from the evil troll.  However, things are not quite as he remembers them.  It's winter now, and the whole land is covered in a blanket of snow.  It doesn't look like the snow will ease up any time soon.  Still, he has more important things on his mind.  He MUST get Daisy out of that dungeon! 

GAMEPLAY
This game is a wonderful trip back to Fantasy World Dizzy, but this time, it's set in winter.  You control Dizzy by using the keyboard.  Move him left & right by pressing left & right Arrow Keys.  Make him jump by hitting Space Bar, and interact\\use inventory items by using Enter key.  As with most Dizzy games, you can only carry 3 items at a time, so you sometimes have to drop an item in order to pick up another item.  Just don't forget where you drop items, lol. Your lives are shown at top right of the screen, in the form of eggs.  If you lose a life, then an egg disappears.  When all 3 eggs are gone, then the game is over.   There are coins scattered throughout the land, and the number of coins you have collected is shown at top left of the screen.

GRAPHICS & SOUND EFFECTS
Graphics in Winter World Dizzy are very colourful and cartoony, which makes the game a lot of fun to play.  Dizzy's movements are very smooth, and his unique style of somersaulting is fun to watch.  Fire flickers as though really alive, and I like how the barrel bobs up and down in the water.  Outside, the snow is falling, and it is awesome to see - just perfect for a game in winter time. 

SOUND EFFECTS
The sound effects for this game are just like the classic Dizzy games that we all know and love. The distinct sound of Dizzy jumping is just right for the game.  And sound effects for Dizzy picking up an item or dropping an item are just as effective.  Music is cheerful and bubbly, and adds a lot of fun. 

SUMMARY
I thoroughly enjoyed playing Winter World Dizzy.  It was a wonderful visit back to Fantasy Land, but it's a completely new adventure.  It is fun to play, and simple to control.  The graphics are classic 'Dizzy' style, and are lovely to see.  I love watching the snow fall - it's so pretty.  And of course, when you are inside a building, or under a platform, then the snow can't get to there.  It's very realistic how the barrel at start of game bobs up and down in the water.  Music is very bubbly, and inspires you to keep going.  Sound effects have a classic retro feel to them, just how you would expect from Dizzy.  So what are you waiting for?  Go and download it now...
