The game of Pong, seen by some to be one of the most legendary games in the video game industry. Some believe that Pong, set off a chain of events that would eventually see rise to the prominence of many gaming companies and forever change the landscape of gaming. Others see the game for its importance in gaming history, and do not think much more of that game. So how could the concept of Pong be changed up for the 21st century, to make it more relevant and more exciting? That is where Plasma Pong comes in. Not only does Plasma Pong change the way you play the game, it also looks damn good, accomplishing this. With fantastic looking graphics, a superb music track that really adds to the action and just a different way of playing the game of Pong, all this make a stellar game that cannot be missed.

When you load up the game for the first time, you will notice a black screen, if you wish to fool around with the graphical effects of the game, start clicking the left and right mouse buttons to see some interesting psychedelic effects that you can create. If you want to do more of that, click the sandbox mode to have a little more fun. If you rather just jump into the action, pick the single player or Multi-Player mode if you have someone you wish to challenge. 

In the Single Player mode, it is just you against the computer in some Pong action. Now if you have never played Pong, the concept is simple, using your paddle, you must hit the ball past your opponents paddle to score, which is the simple explanation of the game. However we are not playing regular pong, no in Plasma Pong things are a bit different. You still have to get the ball past your opponents paddle, but this time your paddle is not just for hitting that ball back. You see, your paddle can squirt out plasma, to manipulate the way the ball is moving, allowing for different movements and different ways to get the ball past your opponent. Not only is this a nifty option, it is necessary to use at the higher levels, when the ball begins to move must faster, and your opponent gets craftier.
Your paddle can also attract the ball like a magnet, charging up a shot before you release it, to an explosion of many beautiful colours and some great graphical effects. As you advance higher and higher into the levels, these skills will be necessary to beat the computer A.I and to get a coveted high score.

As I mentioned before, the game looks phenomenal, especially as you are playing the game, with the different graphical effects going on, it can get a bit distracting, but with the multitude of colours being shown on screen it just looks amazing. The new gameplay additions to the game of Pong are also quite intriguing to see in action. You definitely have to try it out for yourself in order to see what I mean, as words do not accurately describe the experience. Finally, the music track that plays in the game is quite upbeat and very enjoyable to listen too. It pumps you up to keep on going and do your best. 

Plasma Pong delivers on all fronts, and with its new additions to the game of Pong, its an enjoyable game that any gamer needs to check out.
