Trans Am 2000 Reviewed by: DeathDude Positive Points: Nice presentation Good music Alright graphics Negative Points: Weird Controls 4 levels only Genre: Racing Size: 5,129 KB Requirements: Windows Questionable Content: None Editor rating: 3.8 Homepage: http://www.spacetimegames.co.uk/ Download location: http://www.spacetimegames.co.uk/games.htm Buckle up for some fast racing action, as you explore four different areas, to become the champ, to become the one that will be admired for your racing prowess. Alternatively, just to race around to kill some time, in Trans Am 2000. The goals of this game is simple, collect five trophies that are scattered around each of the maps, sounds easy enough right? Well nothing is ever that easy, for you see there are other racer cars that are going to stop you from that goal. How you may ask? By destroying, you are vehicle a la destruction derby style! That is right they are aiming their vehicles to stop you from collecting those five trophies, or maybe they just have weak cars that explode easily I do not know. As soon as you collect five trophies, you can move on to the next level, easy huh? Okay now let us take a look at the game, first of all presentation of the actual game is done very nicely, graphics are nicely done. In addition, the game looks very well done in terms of style and the way everything is executed. The graphics are not the most impressive, but for this type of game they fit nicely and the environments all look nice. There are a couple like the forest level which looks a bit blurred, but that's not really that big of an issue. The music that plays along in game is very nice, I enjoyed listening to it but it does loop after a bit and may get annoying, only 2 tracks are played through the entire game but that's alright. One of the big issues of the game though is the choice of controls. You see rather than stick to conventional directional key controls the developer decided to use the p button to represent driving forward l to drive backwards, and the z and x buttons for left and right respectively. It will take you a bit of time to get used to the controls, but it was annoying that this was chosen as a control scheme, would've been nice to be able to change it but alas you can't. There are only four levels included and while they much are different in appearance, it would have been nice to see some more variety or differences if possible. Still it is a unique concept for racing and it should give you some enjoyment for a bit of time, the name is Trans Am 2000, check it out.
