Noisy Mountain Reviewed by: DeathDude Positive Points: Engrossing story Great music Funny dialogue Negative Points: Ends too quickly Some very odd puzzles Genre: Adventure Size: 2.21 MB Requirements: Windows Questionable Content: 13+ Language Editor rating: 4.7 Homepage: http://home.infocity.de/schwammhirn/ (In German) Download location: http://home.infocity.de/schwammhirn/inhalte/downloads.htm After a long day at the office, our main character wanted to head home, maybe get himself a beer and relax in front of the TV. That all changed when a driver plowed into his car, that is when things changed. Of course things will change, that's the way it always seems to go when something big like a car crash happens, got to make a difference and all that, find out the truth, you know the deal. What we have here though with Noisy Mountain is a very engrossing title, with a strong story that really draws you into the events that have transpired. As well trying to resolve the mystery that lies at the heart of the game, this will take some searching to do. As well some really great music adds to the atmosphere and makes this a very great title. Therefore, we start after the accident that occurred between the drivers, where we see our main character waking up in a hospital. He is not sure of what just happened, just that he was involved in an accident, he then goes forth to find out what really happened and get to the bottom of all this. It is a simple start mind you to the story but give it some patience and time as it gets better. Throughout your searching, you will come across many different locations that will all aid you in solving the mystery. That line, as cliché as it may be really is what fits in this case, the mystery of Noisy Mountain. The story itself is very strong once you get past the first part at the hospital and as you begin to unravel more bits and pieces, you will discover some interesting facts. What are the facts you may ask? Like I would spoil it not a chance you will have to see for yourself. That's what makes it really engrossing is once you begin to get farther and farther in the game the events that happen just drive you to get to the end of the story. The music as well I thought was very strong too in the different scenes, there isn't a whole lot but the ones the developer used all fit in nicely and really add to the game. As well, the dialogue was clever and funny in parts, you will have to see for yourself. Keep in mind though that this game was originally written in German so there may be the odd joke and such that did not go through well in the translation to English. I thought that the game ended a little when the game really picked up, and that was disappointing, the game is not too short but it just ends at the moment when you don't want it to. As well while most of the puzzles are logical, there are some that will make you really think and may seem a bit odd. Even with all that though, this is a superb adventure game and highly recommended you try it out, it's called Noisy Mountain, check it out.
