Double Dragon Fists of Rage Reviewed by: DeathDude Positive Points: Great conversation of Double Dragon Uses Music from Double Dragon Easy controls Negative Points: Bit cheap some enemies Damage calculation bit odd Genre: Arcade Size: 9.5 MB Multiplayer: Hot seat Requirements: Windows least P2 processor recommended Questionable Content: 13+ Violence Editor rating: 4.0 Homepage: None Download Location: Hosted at AR (Leave download location blank) Ah one of the most famous teams in video game history return on a new mission, similar to many of their old one, but that's okay they are known for that sort of thing. Whom do I mean? Why Billy and Jimmy Lee, or the double dragon brothers as they sometimes are known. They are back again to stop the evil and rescue Marian from a mysterious boss. Ooh scary the mysterious boss that they have not faced before! Well it may not be new, but still this new title of the Double Dragon series, is done very nicely all around. Great action, good music that will remind you of the older titles and easy controls make this a title to check out. Like many of the past stories, Marian has been kidnapped and it is up to the Billy and Jimmy to rescue her again. How she keeps getting into trouble and kidnapped all these years is beyond me, any ways though would have been nice to use something original. But oh wells this is Double Dragon after all, that would be like asking for a Mario game without having to save the princess. As you shall see though the game is a good conversation from past Double Dragon titles, everything from the moves to the scenes you will see are very similar. There are some changes with new enemy sprites and backgrounds but they fit into the double dragon world very nicely. As you play through the game, the controls are also easy. Also pulling off moves are shown in the options menu and a beginning tutorial shows you how to do some of the more advanced moves, very nice that the developer included this. Finally, most of the tunes have been taken from former double dragon games, which for in this case with Double Dragon was good to see rather than see a collection of new tunes, which may or may not fit. Finally you can also play along with a friend on the same keyboard or even gamepad so that 2 of you can fight in game and defeat all in your way. Very nice that this was included. As with most side scrolling beat em ups, the enemies can be cheap in this game, and the game employs an interesting damage calculation for both enemies and your character. It may seem pretty cool when you see it in action against the enemies. However, when the damage goes back your way then you'll see why it's a bit off as really it may take 2-3 hits to lose a life from the extra damage. Still though this was a very nice Double Dragon title and if you're a fan of the series definitely recommended to check it out, name is Double Dragon Fists of Rage, go try it out.
