Sounds like a familiar plot but there are some interesting surprises along the way and nothing like mowing down some bad guys who oppose you, if your up for the challenge take a look at Global Soldiers. The story line of this game is that you play the role of a special soldier who is fighting against terrorism, all is going well till you are captured and thrown in prison. Thus begins the story of our soldier who is fighting his way back to the surface and against the people who put you in prison in the first place. Along the way you will encounter different enemies and pick up different weapons to fulfill your mission. Graphically the game looks very nice, the environments and different textures look well overall. It really enhances the feeling of the game, and as you progress through the different levels, it really looks nice overall. Vehicles and other items too look nicely rendered. Different soldiers themselves do not look the best, maybe even a bit blocky but really, it is not that bad. The story line too described between mission is kind of interesting to follow, although really when it comes down to it, more often than not your essentially blasting your way to the end of a level. The game's AI is pretty decent, the soldiers you face have got a good shot and will mow you down if your not careful, you can't go in guns a blazing everywhere otherwise you will die very quickly. There is no music in the game, which can be good and bad depending on your opinion. Personally, I like music in first person shooter games but you may not. There are only three different types of weapons that you will pick up, in your travels in the game. This was also something that was disappointing to see. Least want some more variety in this kind of game, and a very slow mouse speed when moving your gun around least I found, makes it irritating to aim. However, this was a fun game to play and if you're a fan of first person shooters, you should have a good time with this one, it's called Global Soldiers, you should definitely check it out.
