I'd say the adventure game character that'd be the most fun (but not necessarily the best, as that depends on the game itself too) is a crossing between Kate Walker from Syberia, and Roger Wilco from Space Quest. Kate Walker because of her niceness and determination, in combination with Roger Wilco's clumsiness.
