anybody here read Calvin & Hobbes? ive got every single strip and ive read m' all like a hundred times.

i seriously think that C&H is the best thing on the planet when it comes to comics/books/music/movies/cartoons/and basicaly modern art in general

im also 100% positive that C&H made me what i am today (shut it ) and i mean by a very large factor. i think i would be ALOT different if id have never read the comic.

anyways just wanted to see if anybody thinks likewise. if you do let me know what your faveroute strip is

Calvin and Hobbes rocks!   Definitely one of my favourite comics, just this past summer they brought it back to my newspaper I was so happy. Favourite strip, hmm have to check up, I got quite a few favs.

... for example you wouldn't be eating Chocolate-Frosted Sugar Bombs (with extra sugar, obviously) for breakfast every morning?

I've read a few of them, but not all, because the books are so hideously expensive. Or at least they used to be...

about the price. i think they are worth it... also im pretty sure that watterson doesnt have a hand in that. i mean the guy refuses to sign any merchandise contracts that would make him a multi-millionair like over night.... hows that for keeping it real?

I was pleasantly surprised (and relieved) when I learned this.  It was good to know that all of those window stickers of Calvin peeing on just about everything imaginable were unlicensed ripoffs.

Yeah no doubt but it does at least give the franchise he created some more exposure than it wouldn't have received before.

I love Calvin&Hobbes. I used to read them all the time when I was a kid. Didn't you use to have a C&H avvie, Daka?

Btw, while I respect that Bill Watterson refuses to sign any merchandise deals, I'm afraid I'd do it in a heartbeat if I was him. Sure, I'd shed a tear or two for having sold out my life's creation, but then I'd go spend a million and feel better.

by the way have you guys ever seen a pic of watterson?
if you take away the mustache he looks just like calvins father

I was going to say that he looks like he's wearing Groucho glasses in that pic, but the one in Wikipedia is very similar.
