Good choices, my friend. I need to get some Soulwax/2 Many DJs action in my collection (they're quite different, but they're great at both). Melody A.M. is great, though the second album is a doozie too. Has anyone come across the single for Remind Me anywhere? I really want the radio edit and the video for it (that was absolutely amazing).

Other than YouTube, of course:

EDIT: Ah ha! Promo's on eBay. Now I just have to sit here for an hour :bleh:

Derek Sherinian- Blood Of The Snake Picked this album up mainly because of the special guests that appear on the album, the big two being John Petrucci and Yngwie Malmsteen, both who excel on their tracks, especially Petrucci who does some killer shredding on the first track, there is even a cover of In The Summertime with Billy Idol and Slash, which was uh interesting I suppose. Ah yes this is mostly an instrumental album, Derek is a keyboardist, not my favourite but he has some interesting ideas.

Its possible to record stuff off youtube ya know...  :P

Heh...my friend, whos a Tarantino/horror nut (although from what I understand he just produced it) saw it on the opening day. He said "it was allright, not too gory". So then he tells me about the blowtorch and wire cutters scene...yeah uh, no.
No way in hell I'm seeing that xD Sounds good for what it is, but I don't care much for gore personally, not THAT much.
:bleh:
On another note, I went out and rented Being John Malkovich which I hear is really good, watched it with parents, not such a smart idea :P, I'l have to re rent it sometimes and watch it fully...
Talladega Nights was awesome, and they showed a trailer for the Grudge 2, Employee of the month, and Man of the year, which all look pretty good. Never saw the first Grudge on account of its supposed to be bad, but the second one looks pretty darn freaky, and Sam Raimi is producing it, and although hes just producing...Evil Dead, YEAHHHHHHH.
(Still don't get why everyone at AB likes The Reanimator so much o0)

Ohhh...saw 3 trailer...and I can't watch it on the laptop, ARGH!!! Edit: nvm, youtubed it xD, ahhh man, I was hoping for more of the trap type things that were supposed to be in the second one, not saw your footoff stuff from the first, but meh. Trailer is basically just a bunch of people screaming anyways.

I would't get myself an expert personally, maybe in terms of metal that's my specality, rock not so much, go through some of the list of this thread and see for yourself, give some recommendations here and there.

There was an illusion? Well the John Petrucci Sig should have tipped you off, he's part of the band Dream Theater, one of the top metal bands right now. Imo of course.   :bleh:

Oh boy here we go, this is going to erupt into an argument of sorts, Dream Theater is hardly cheesy, not even close to cheesiness, they are 5 all very talented musicians, that are among the tops, each one can easily smoke any band talent wise. Not many cheesy bands can create 24 min songs or even a 40 min one. So take that. :bleh:

Judas Priest- Painkiller The last album they did before Rob Halford left the band to do his solo career, definitely very interesting and has different elements that make it a pretty good all around good listen.

Love the video, dislike the song compared to the Melody A.M. version, to be honest.

And hurrah - Soulwax are headlining the Leeds Dance Tent!
