That small eh, surprising knowing Maiden. But only good thing I guess with the delay is maybe they'll fix those problems everyone who's gotten the disc seem to be experiencing.

I just bought Pendumlum's hold your colour (there are no capital letters in the album's title).

One word : Astonishing.

It's just... incredible... drum & bass at its best.

Recent acquistions

Iron Maiden- The X-Factor- Been meaning to pick this one up, it's the first album after Bruce Dickinson left with now Blaze Baley fronting the band, overall killer album, very dark though but every song is awsome.

Iron Maiden- Rainmaker Single- It was 4 bucks, for the single, how can you not say no? :D Comes with Rainmaker, one of my favourite Dance of Death tracks, Dance of Death (Orchestrical Version) which is pretty good, except Shirley turned down the guitars :ok:, and More Tea Vicar a funny on the spot track of the guys just jamming and Bruce singing random lyrics, hilarious :ok:.

Opeth- Ghost Reveries- My first album from these guys, and their latest one, picked it up because March 8 Opeth comes here! Haven't given it a listen yet, saving it for the right moment. :D

DD, have you heard Amorphis, Sentenced, Charon and/or Warmen? If not, I strongly recommend.

Amorphis is an incredible band! Their later efforts started experimenting with their sound which produced some mixed results but some of their early works like Tales From The Thousand Lakes is a classic melodic death album for the ages. :ok:  :D

@Juni- I'll check some of em out, already got a big plate of some bands want to be checking out in the next while. :ok:

Listened to the Opeth album today, and wow impressed only 2 tracks, but the way they combine good melodies, with clean and harsh vocals together is amazing, this band is even more awesome in my book now. :D

@Dvoe: Check out the rest too. At the moment especially Charon is my favorite. And yes, Tales From the Thousand Lakes is excellent, if not better! But I think all their production is great. Older and newer.

Moving away from metal for a moment (don't hurt me!), I got Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit on DVD the other day and have just finished watching it, and it's bloomin' GENIUS! I wasn't sure if they'd translate to a full-length Hollywood movie well, but it's fantastic - it's like a longer version of the original shorts, and even the Hollywood concessions are tongue-in-cheek. It's also packed with visual gags (newspaper headline puns, a Smug fridge and a jar of Middle Age Spread appear in the space of about 3 minutes, followed by a number of book title/cheese gags - Grated Expectations, Swiss Cheese Family Robinson, etc.). Can't recommned it enough - methinks it might take over from The Incredibles as my most-frequently watched animated film before long :ok:

But it just came out today and we got it before the states so whoo. :D

Just watched the concert and documentary and wow awesome production, great concert, and the documentary was awesome too, only thing never let Steve Harris do the camera editing again, ever!

Picked up Death on the Road as well today. Awesome addition to my sickeningly large Iron Maiden collection. :ok:

Some other cds I've picked up recently include:

In Flames - Come Clarity (8/10)
Sonata Arctica- Takatalvi (back to winter indeed) (10/10)
Sonata Arctica  - Orientation (9/10)
Vivaldi  - The Four Seasons (one of my favorite compositions) (10/10)
