Well went for lunch today and stopped by this place nearby, which usually pretty much always overprices it's music cd's by the obsecure artists that aren't mainstream, but surprisingly I managed to find something much cheaper than I pay at some of the other places I shop at.

Dream Theater- Train of Thought This is as the band itself says their "heavy" sounding album, I've heard a couple of tracks on this album, and really I like heavy sounding music so it all works out. Wells listened to the whole album and definitely like it, one of my favs from them now. And even starting to like the song in the name of god. :)

Well uh I felt the interest to buy another cd yes that will do mwhaha.

Dream Theater- Falling into Infinity Well with this album that leaves only 1 more studio album from them I don't have, now before I had heard some tracks on this album and wasn't really that impressed but after giving the album a serious listen, it's really very awesome. Very deep with some of the songs, some of my favs New millennium, Hollow years, burning my soul, lines in the sand, take away my pain and trail of tears, these guys seem to keep impressing me. :)

As I said earlier Falling into Infinity is a very underrated record, cool to see someone else enjoying it. Keep listening, its a grower.  :)

Well definitely showed me a much more melodic side to Dream Theater which was good to hear, underrated but wouldn't call it their best work, some iffy tracks but liking it. :)

What turned into what was supposed to be one pickup somehow turned into 3, curse the temptation.

Dream Theater- Octavarium Latest album of Dream Theater's and my last pick up and now I have their entire catalogue, least studio releases, I've heard many a bad comment about this one around the different music boards, but after listening I can safely say most of those users were crazy. :) Great album, different style for DT but still sticking with the kind of music they do best, and can't beat their 24 min epic Octavarium, a classic. :P

Iron Maiden- Death on the Road I managed to somehow with some crazy luck pick this up for 14.99, now the funny thing is usually everywhere here that cd is 28 or 34 bucks, but somehow someone at the place I bought this at, put a sticker for 14.99 so whateva I got lucky. Last album Maiden has put up, on their dance of death tour, great track list. :P

Iron Maiden- Piece of Mind The one album of Maiden's that I had yet to pick up that I have been looking for a long time, great album overall, classics such as where eagles dare, the trooper, die with your boots on, flight of icarus, revelations, one of their best albums.

Yeah that's a good and bad thing though. :P Picked up my last album for a good long while, cause of a recent expensive purchase today.

Iron Maiden- Fear of the Dark One of the albums of theirs that everyone recommends to pick up, definitely got some great hits like, be quick or be dead, afraid to shoot strangers, judas guide, and of course the massive hit fear of the dark.

Surely there can't be any metal albums left that you don't own?

If I listen to metal than that is something like Grief or Antestor and the like, those are real 'metal' bands...

My recent CD are Mr.Bungle, Come To Grief, Mantas and Matyr Ad . . .

I'm not saying it's not metal, it's just not 'metal' for me ... I don't like power metal bands and the like. And they are too damn comercial. If you look at metal bands like Immortal, Grief and similiar, ... they don't need comercial videos with no meaning just to get them famous, they have they fame just by making music.

Get your facts straight dude, Iron Maiden isn't power metal first of all, second of all they are beyond mainstream or even commericial and yet one of the most successful metal bands in history and a couple of the bands you listed are grindcore no true power Metal.
