Dream Theater- Metropolis 2000 Scenes from New York This was the dvd I wanted on Saturday but unfortuantely the place where I went didn't have it, so went to another place down the street and was thinking I doubt they have it, but I'll check, but in the end they did.

Symphony X- V Been meaning to pick up a symphony X cd for quite awhile so decided today to pick this one up as I have heard good things about it, and so far 3 tracks in I'm liking it.

As for the sympothy x cd actually gotten quite a few recommendations around the metal community so that's why I picked it up, and they hardly sell any sympothy x stuff around here which is a bummer

At first I was inclined to return the angst-riddled cold-war era series... but then after viewing two episodes I grew fond of it, despite the bad special effects (even for 1964).
However the cold-war setting is apparent at all times.
Alien: "what is... war?"
Human: "War, conflict, H-bomb, nuclear-fallout"
or:
An astronaut flies through a time-warp and ends up in the future, where earth is one big desert. He finds a mutated human and asks him:
"What happened? Hydrogenwar!?"

Symphony X- The Odyssey, if there is one album to get from these guys this is the one that pretty much every fan of the band recommends and I've heard some tracks off of the album, including the title epic 24 min track that's based on yup Homer's Odyssey.

@DeathDude - The Odyssey is a powerhouse album, one of the best prog-metal records ever. Rivals the best Dream Theater.

Still... the old ones are good too, and not quite as cheesy as I had imagined a 1960's Sci-fi series to be.

Is it that glimpse of light? I never forget to expect.
Or is it you? Some kind of angel.
That keeps me in waiting forever?
