As casual observers, I think most people would say my life has been Teh Suck.

I won't go into huge detail, but I've had lots of bad, weird, crazy experiences that a lot of people wouldn't have to deal with. Don't get me wrong, I know there are many, many people out there who have had it worse than me, but I'm sure I'm above the average line of bad experiences.

Strangely, those bad things that I've been through, and have happened to me are the things I am most thankful for in my life. I think if I hadn't been through those things, I would just be some ditzy girl who prioritized her wardrobe and makeup above all.

Those bad experiences have molded me into the person I am today, and I can't really think of anyone else I'd rather be. That's a pretty good thing, I think.

What are you thankful for?

Well, I guess I'm thankful for too many things to list here. Some of the most important, though, would be my family and friends.

Sorry for such a lame answer, but I really suck at things like this. :)
Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

I am extremelly thankful for seeing thing with different eyes.

It's still early, and my vision isn't as good as I want it to be, but it's not clouded anymore. For that I am thankful.

Plus, I also have been blessed with this ---> :)

I have lots to be thankful for ;)

Yo!

I should be thankful for what the Scouts did for me. I can't imagine what I'd've become without it, and dread to think 'bout it. It's done alot for me through times where day-to-day life was tough as hell, and made me bear through such crap (up to a certain extend, that is)

Aside from that, I should be thankful for some people who've stood by me through especially tough times. It's a reassuring thought to know that, no matter what, some people'll stand by you.

Btw... that "I should be" is meant as "I am", in case anybody was wondering

Edit: Forgot to mention... thing I'm most grateful for of all, is of having been blessed with a healthy (and sometimes more-than-healthy) amount of creativity.

For starters I'm glad that I'm still alive after having pleurisy.

But apart from that I'm not really that happy with where I am. I'm smart, but I make stupid decisions and also people never really value the work that I do, most people take me for granted.

I can joke a bit, but then I've been clinically depressed for about three years (with no particular reason for it, either strangely). I just don't get cheered up myself.

I am also patient most of the time, but I'm constantly full of anger (I've got a fair few axes to grind) it doesn't matter who I talk to, there's always something that they've done to me in the past.

I might just be a total ingrate though, more likely than not.

DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them
DakaSha:and you have a class of little kids hitting eachother with rubber dongs which must be quite funny (also Picklweasel knight I am)

What a great idea for a topic :)

I'm most grateful for having my home which I was able to buy through the help of a wonderful friend.  Before that I lived in blocks of flats which were crowded, noisy and dingy and which I moved from every few months.  The second thing I'm grateful for is not having to do the 9-5 grind anymore.  Life and God are good  ;)

Nearly forgot...I also appreciate the new kittens. They're so sweet and loving.  One tiny bundle of fur is curled up asleep in my lap as I type.  They're one of life's real treasures.

I'm very glad i started music early. I started music-school in 1st grade.
Kids in my class always thought I was a geek, because in 4th grade I had rehearsals or music classes 5 times a week. Then when later it got more like 10 times a week.
But the thing is, when I look at those kids, they're all messed up today. Most of them have been to rehab at least once, at the age of 18. I heard that most of the kids who were in school with me in 1st-7th grade applied to go to the same college as I go to, but only 3 of 30 got in. The rest went to a school that's got a reputation to be a "leftover-school".

Anyways, hadn't it been for my music, I might've been one of them. I'd probably have a kid by now, been to rehab couple of times and have smoked half of my brain out.
But they never liked me because I was a geek ;)

I'm also thankful for that I didn't break my back in the horse-accident few years ago. I could've broken my back had I been on that horse for a split-second longer.

Edit by Beef: Please don't try to get round the profanity filter, it's there for a reason. :)

Reflecting on this thankful for a lot in my life, definitely the opportunity to play sports like hockey, soccer are up there, because not everyone has the money to do so and to play hockey for 7 years, pick up a lot of memories, always will remember them, from the experience, the medals, trophies all been a blast, hopefully one day will return to play again.

Thankful for my family and everything they have done for me, most of the time anyway ;) it's been quite the experience at times,

Thankful getting the opportunity to head to post secondary, because here it's quite pricey especially university and glad that I can get the chance to go forth and study to become something I want to be.

And of course for some of the friends I've met through my life, some that I'm still friends with and the ones that I have met heck even recently, always glad to know them and happy that they are friends with me, sniff promised myself I wouldn't cry jk. ;) (You know who you are  :) )

I am thankful for me knowing to read at the age of 5. Some children in my class (seventh grade; eight grade in Canada and England) don't know how to read properly. I'm also thankful for having a great mother ( ;) <-mom) and for having good friends (well, maybe not  )
