Hey, spent a couple hours doing some fresh tutorials earlier.
Here's the result!
Everything, except the "texture" for the planets surface is of my own creation... using PhotoShop. The texture originally was a flat, photograph of concrete.
How'd you like?

Excellent work Sean.
The 'Mass Effect' words look like shiny steel, and I like the smudge\fade outline of the guy on the right. The whole thing blends together really well.
Personally, I like the original. It gives more colour to the picture, and makes the whole thing seem more balanced. But that's just my opinion.
Brilliant.

Hmm, yeh.
The original is my fav too, thanks for the comments Frodo. I think you're bang on, the colour in this version does keep the balance right

I fiddled about to make myself a shiny new badge today's.
Crits and comments appreciated as always
It's meant to follow the theme,style and feel of the Vip/Admin buttons but also be a tad 'FuN!'

Been a while, but I'm back making some art stuff. Whaaddda'ya reckons?
Original Image, just messing around with brushing and blending and getting used to things again. I think it came out pretty well
..and a Signature/Avatar combo to boot

Hey, nice piccy. I like how that guy on the right appears almost ghost like. Very effective. And is that a skull I see at top left?

Here's a piece of crap I cooked up recently, trying to get the hang of photoshop again. I got fed up pretty quickly, and decided to turn it off for a few days. I'll rustle up some renewed interest sometime soon.
What's interesting about this post, (if it is at all interesting) is that it shows how easily a concept/image can change over time.
I'll keep this PSD kicking around, as I think the 'core' of it is nice enough. May serve as an interesting background for something more polished in the future. I've already cooked up a few variations in response to Nicks Userbar Thread.
