I'm sure it's good. People claiming it tastes like *insert something disgusting here* are often the same people who doesn't dare taste anything else than the stuff they've grown up eating. I guess it's an aquired taste...
When i was a kid, my grandpa used to give us shark all the time.
He made it himself, so it came in big slices, like bread. Usually people cut it in small dices and eat it that way, but i ate it like bread  :)
good times, good times....

I'm like that with surströmming ("sour herring"). I think it's really good, but some are afraid of tasting it due to the smell. They say it smells like *crapola*.

Bah, children.  :P

I'm gonna list some stuff here that I used to hate, but which I've aquired a taste for when growing up.
  • Sour herring
  • Whisky
  • Beer
  • Wine
  • Moldy cheese (the good stuff, not the spoiled)
  • Dark chocolate
  • Liver
  • Fish
  • Olives
  • Vegetables

I have deal with rabbits: I don't touch to their vegetables and they don't touch my booze! :P

But why on earth should I eat anything from sea? I don't have gills or fins, so I just stick with raw meat. :P Don't know if it's in genes, but I've never had any problems with beer or booze. And wine I spare for french and women.
:P
PS: I have terrible hangover...

Not that anything in your statement makes any sense it's still very vikingish and barbaric, so I'm proud of you  :P

*gets an evil flashback from learning Swedish* It still beats me how you can do that odd "ch" sound at the back of your throat without pulling a face as if you had just accidentally swallowed a small frog...
