we are talking about maintained speeds, over approximately 1/4 of a mile, it says so.
As for normal or exceptional, all the other animals, I expect, were either taken randomly or were the best out of a small sample (like a pack). It would be correct to do so with humans also.
However humans being adaptive creatures have a much higher variance of top speeds, I doubt I can do even 20 km/h over 400 meters. But I still think it's a typo and they are supposed to be km/h.
P.S. oh and it actually proves nothing either way, the statistic (number) for humans could have been the typo, while the rest of the data was correct...
