Well I've seen worse - I've had my share of time with the NHS :S
Looks like a birthday cake with crackling... weird, but probably nice!

My god. What's that brown thing in the inside ? It looks like...
Anyway, maybe next time you'll make a better cake. It's good for your first try (it is your first try, no ?)

It's by far my first attempt. However, it is by far my worst cake (at least from a viewing point of view).
The cake (dark brown) consist of chocolate, sugar, egg and flour.
The cream (light brown) is melted chocolate and thick milk whipped to a cream.
The cover is marzipan.
Then the whole thing is covered with melted chocolate.
All in all there is 1 kilo of chocolate there and 500 gram of marzipan
The reason it is looking as it does, is due to the following:
1. I hadn't gotten rid of all the air in the cake before putting it in the oven, making it collapse in the middle when it was placed for cooling.
2. The cake started leaning when I added the different layers and cream, due to me cutting it badly. The bad cutting was a result of the cake looking more or less like a donut, thank to the above collapsing.
3. When I added the marzipan, I hadn't used enough melis (some kind of sugar used to make the marzipan less sticky and manageable, just like you would use flour with dough), so then marzipan became a lump of stickyness halfway through the covering of the cake.
4. When I started covering the cake with the melted chocolate, it was too runny, causing the mess you see on the first photo. (To put it simply, I had used too much water in the kettle when I melted the chocolate).
All the above things helped create this cake. I call it The Tjernobyl Cake, due to it looking like a nuclear meltdown.
