You can purchase keen 1-5 on Steam for like $5, which is what I did. Well worth it.

They're not copy protected, so you don't have to have steam installed or be online to play them.

Why purchasing if you can get them from torrents like I did... these games are not protected by ESA (Entertainment Software Association) if i'm not mistaken.

Don't believe they are protected but 2, 3 and 5 from the series are still being sold, so its still not legal to put them up for download, 1, 4, and Keen Dreams are freeware though.

Just noticed that the info box says "Made by: 3D Realms". This is incorrect, because a) Commander Keen games were developed by id Software (in fact, it was their first game) and b) it was published by Apogee Software, which is has become de facto known as 3D Realms after its most successful subsidiary (which was focused on 3D games, hence the name). However, 3D Realms was founded years after Commander Keen was first published, so stating that this game was published by 3D realms would be anachronistic.

I've changed the Made By to "id Software/Apogee Software". That will represent the original developer, and publisher. :ok: Thanks for bringing that up.

Yay, thankies! ^_^

BTW, have you considered making separate entries for developer and publisher in the game info form?
