Right, so that won't help either. Does the Foss have something like an island (i.e. a particularly high heap of rubbish) John's mum could hide the box on? Or is there some other place in York which might be better suited to hide something? I've never been there, so I wouldn't know...

Hmm not really, it's full of alleys and stuff, but to be honest, there's not a lot to hide thing on. Maybe on the inside of one of the bells of the Minster, but apart from that, not really.

Maybe have a race against time before the bell rings and his iPod is destroyed.

Yep, you have about , say, 20 minutes. It won't be critical to the plot, but maybe it'll be a 'time saving' item, so that you don't have to get a microphone and a jukebox and put them together somehow to record yo lyrizzles.

The Prejudizzle has no progrizzle to repizzle, due to my hizzle being rewizzled minutes after I said after I would stizzle, sadlizzle. I´m in Majorcizzle for the next 9 dizzles too.
But when I get back our house should be rewired. I hope.
I´ve got it all planned out, I just need a few days to code it up.

Do you have the IF manual?
Like the 578 page one?
I reckon that the 'Beginner's guide' is better at a mere 350 pages, because it tells you what you need to know, not how IF came to be a type of game etc.

Urmm very little has happened so far. My house is being redecorated, but it'll be finished in a couple of days. Got the story and rooms planned out though.
@ Play
Try searching for the Beginner's Guide on Google, I can't remember where I got it from.

No luck on searching for it. It dropped me a ton of beginners guides on hella lot of topics. Every single one that contains the "if" word. NO matter if I used it like IF or "IF"...
Now what?

Now what?

Huzzah! I found them!
Beginner's Guide = The Inform Beginner's Guide
The Whole Manual = The Inform Designer's Manual
Beginner's guide - 1600kb
Manual = 2600kb
And by the way, the Manual was written at Oxford University and has a LOT of irrelevant detail in it. It also tells you the slow way of how to make IF for 100 pages, and then moves on to how to do it really quickly and well.
