Is it memento?

This thread has proved to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is possible to describe even well-known films in such a way as to make them almost unrecognisable

no.
Memento doesn't feature daughters or psychiatrists. And although this might be a question open for discussion, I don't think anyone is actually a conman. Not a professional one anyway.

anyhow, more hints:
much like the previous film this one has an important scene happen at a hospital ward. however... -yup, you've guessed it- it was fake too.

the movie is made in 2003 and based on a 2002 novel.

A man from the future travels back in time, bangs a very hot mary shelley and is involved in a life-changing struggle with frankenstein and his monster.
