One archelologist has been working in palestine for some time, when he suddenly came upon an ancient grave with a mumified body in it. he then goes to a well know museum, and says "I've found a mumified man, who lived about 3000 years ago and died of a heart attack." the museum curator smiles at him, and says "bring yur mummy to us , and we'll study it." which he did.
in one weeks time curator calls him and says" you've turned out to be right about the time of death, but pray tell me how you found out the cause".

This man owned a pub. He had owned it for years, but recently it hadn't been doing so well, and he was losing money.
He told his friend that he was fed up with losing money. He was going to sell the pub, and open up a brothel instead.
The friend turned to him, and said 'Don't be stupid. If you can't make any money selling beer, what on earth makes you think you can make money selling soup?'

Did you know that "brothel" was originally a term for a worthless fellow? The meaning eventually shifted to "prostitute". The word as we know it is actually an abbreviation of "brothel-house".
