The game needs to be installed into a directory with no spaces in the path, but I see you've tried that. I always put the game in my C drive's root directory, so you could try that in case it's a too-long directory or something. Anybody else have a suggestion?
On another line, has anyone else pulled the instant lvl25 trick with Mature Gold Dragons? I go north of Morivant and then to then east to a mountainous region. Then go back and forth between those two places until I see both a friendly eagle (Gwahir, Throndor, or Mendelor) and a Mature Gold Dragon, wait for the eagle to almost kill the dragon, and deal the final blow.
I'm just starting up with ZangbandTK again after a 3-4 year hiatus, and my new character is a High Elf Monk. Starting stats:
Str. 17
Int. 11
Wis. 18/10
Dex. 18/40
Con. 18
Chr. 18/40
It's my first experience not being a high mage or rogue, and I must say, monks play a whole lot like rogues. Minus the sneak attacks. I'm tempted to create a Pixie rogue (never played a pixie before, but intrigued by their speed gains at high levels) and an Amberite high mage (my old standby).
