I'll be off to the library in half an hour to do the reading on semantic change which I *should* have done over the holidays, but couldn't. Somehow my tutors never realise how difficult it is to get hold of textbooks when you live in another country.:ok:

These evening work shifts suck... Pretty much nothing happens here after 4 PM, but I'll just have to be here from 12 to 8. My day ends at 8:00 PM, but I can't leave then, because some dork left his/her bicycle at the building's back door where they can't get it from after I leave, because I have to lock the only gate that leads there before I go.

These other people here will leave somewhere around 8:15 and 8:30, so I'll just have to wait and hope that the one with the bicycle will leave as early as possible..

I could leave a note at the bicycle telling the owner to lock the gate, but if he/she won't do it for some reason, my boss will kick my *** tomorrow.

EDIT: Cool, cencorship.. he'll kick my three stars tomorrow.

My day didn't exactly suck, but it wasn't great either. Though I did finish up a new design at work which is being build at the moment. WHeeee.

I have exams all next week. 2 Science, 1 english reading, 2 english writing, 1 shakesphere paper, 1 mental maths, 1 maths non-calculator and 1 maths calculator. Fun, eh?

Even more so with the cheesecake challenge!

This, you see, is a challenge I've set myself and 4 friends. We all try to stick "Cheesecake" in every paper we can as many times as possible. Legitimately, too! Not writing it in corners, but putting it in the answers! The Shakesphere paper will be an interesting one to try it on.. hehe ^^

Our school may one day be known as "The Cheesecake School".. haha ^^

Your cheesecake challenge may become the "Cheesed-off challenge" when your teachers get the marks back.

I did my own variant of your "cheesecake challenge" in my year 10 GCSE R.E. exam.

It became the "proove that religion is bad and wrong" exam. For example : "Name two religious leaders" (2 marks)"

I think that sensible answers would have been "1) An Imam and 2) A Bishop.

What I put was 1) David Koresh and 2) Ludwig Müller.

I am disgusted that I got no marks, especially since both of those were religious leaders. I was told by my R.E. teacher that my answers were very good, but that he gave me no marks simply because that's what would happen when I did my real GCSEs.

He said (and I only mildly paraphrase) "You deserve an A* for your excellent knowledge outside of the sillibus, but in a real exam, a lot of R.E. markers are old, devout Christians who probably wouldn't see your side of the argument".

Bah.

Hmm... I'm not too excited, but I'll take a look at it at some point. Though my morale about gaming at work time has something to say anyways...

Time for some necromancy. *resurrects the thread*

My day has just begun, but I'm pretty sure it will suck.. a lot. I haven't slept well for a couple of days for certain reasons, and right now it looks like I'm gonna have one of the (at least physically) roughest days at work for months.

Why did it have to be today? Last week it wouldn't have been half this bad, but now after several very badly slept nights I think I'm gonna die if I even think of doing something too physical.

And I wasn't even supposed to do all this before. The guy who was supposed to do this all just happens to be sick today. He was at work yesterday, and I'm pretty sure he will be here tomorrow, too. Just not today. Thanks.

Aww, poor Ari! :ok: I'm on the other hand suffering of same problems, poorly slept nights, especially last night, when I had quite serious stomach pains. But, pain reminds you're alive! Sisua, perkele! :)

Well, yeah, I think I'll manage.. With sisu, perkele, but what mostly bothers me is the guy who knew well he would have lots of work today and just somehow happens to be sick.

Ok, it might be that he really is sick and couldn't do any work anyway, but... I don't know.
