My great-uncle died a few months ago. His own children would constantly hover around him for the past few years, each hoping for the larger piece of the inheritance (he was quite a rich man) and they often mentioned their desires for his fortune in front of him. My mother always took care of him (taking him to doctors, buying clothes for him...)
He eventually died in quite a painful way.

We inherited: two boxes of diabetes icecream.

That's too common, Stroggy. Those good people who deserve reward for their deeds seem to be also modest and they don't dare to ask. I'm not saying I'm one of those good people, but I've done something good and as I frequently realized that I'm the only one, I decided to accept my grandma's inheritance - after she had first failed offering it. Why should I let others take what little she has, if they don't do anything or even visit her every now and then? She's quite alone person and I'm trying to keep her company when I can and I go to grocery store once a week just to keep her fed. Well, she wouldn't starve, but she wouldn't get decent food at decent price without me. And why I'm saying this? I'm pretty pissed off and yesterday and today I heard couple of totally unresponsive and irritating statements. I hope my grandma lives longer than rest of my kin.

True enough, but then again, that sort of thing shouldn't be a matter of reward, really. Your main motive in looking after your grandmother is probably that you like her and feel responsible for her, because she hasn't got anybody else to chat to her and help her with the shopping, but your goal isn't really to be rewarded, is it?

My day is about to suck, by the way - lots and lots of Pope to read until my tutorial tomorrow.:)

It isn't matter of reward and I'm not doing it for the reward. I don't even care about the money - though I possibly should as I would have lots of really good use of it - but I'm not going to give it to those... well, no swearing, so make something up.

Well I've got an opposite story from yours, my mother was taking really good care for my grandmother (she died year and a half ago), she visited her every day and spent 2-3h with her for around last two years of her life...
We didn't even know she has anything left to inherit, but a small derute house...
Well in the end it appeared that government has denationalised some land that was nationalized during the communist era, and we inherited that land...
Nedlees to say that that land is worth quite some money...

So my point is, yes goodness does return to you, in one way or another...

DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them
DakaSha:and you have a class of little kids hitting eachother with rubber dongs which must be quite funny (also Picklweasel knight I am)

When I graduated from high school my grandpa gave me a pocket-watch.. gold.. For good results of the final exams. I didn't tell anyone in the family except my parents and sister, then people found out after he died and got mad at me. Well, it's not my fault he gave the watch to me, and I'm the only one who have finished those exams without completely failing. So since he gave it away for good results in exams, I kinda have to say I deserve it more than anyone else in the family. Bunch of hillbillies...

There are some construction workers tearing up everything around my house to put some crapola in the ground.. they're noisy. We have to park our car far away because of their machines, and I can't really hear the music I'm playing, no matter how loud it is.

Gah! I was just on my way to a tutorial at another college, when I met the girl I was supposed to be having the tutorial with, who told me the tutor wasn't feeling well. So now I'll be having two tutorials tomorrow and I'll have to rush back from St Peter's in something like ten minutes in order to be only a little late for my second tutorial. Grrrreat.:(

St. Petersburg to Oxford University in under ten minutes?

You'd best get one of the better Avionics students to help you with that.

There certainly is, I used to live in Witney, but have now forgotten what it's called. But I do remember that, and it's one of the bigger bases.

But still, given that St. Petersburg is about 3000 miles (as an absolute guess) away, you'd need to travel at 18000 miles per hour to even stand a chance of getting to your next lesson on time.

So you'd need to build yourself a ground-effect space rocket type vehicle to do it.

Excellent idea! Thanks, Puffin.:) I'll just pop round to Iceland after breakfast tomorrow to collect them, will that be OK for you?... No, wait. I can't skate. Dang. Isn't it annoying how brilliant plans always seem to fail because of insignificant little details?

I'll lend you my little sister's roller-blades so that you can go to Iceland if you want, A.J!

And I'll put stabilisers on the sides!

Just make sure that you set yourself in the right direction, obviously.

Never mind, my tutor emailed me to say she's feeling even more ill today, so I'll be having the tutorial on Tuesday. Next week is going to be hell: three tutorials and two essay deadlines within four days.:(
