Tai, I'm sorry about your unlce :( *hugs*

I didn't sleep tonight because of pain. The anti-biotics I'm on because of my tooth give me rashes inside the mouth. The painkillers make me sick so I throw up, so I've been cheating and taking weaker painkillers. Which comes back in more pain, but less vomiting. So I didn't sleep tonight, and didn't go to school today. I'm trying to focus on anything else than the pain. Today is "bolludagur" in Iceland, when people eat lots of buns with chocolate or flour-sugar on top, and cream and jelly inside. I can't eat them, because I can't open my mouth enough, or the stitches would rip up. We get those buns once a year. Oh, and I just remembered that I'm supposed to be taking an exam RIGHT NOW.

Sorry to hear about your uncle, Tai...

And sorry to hear that you're still in pain, Puffin. Hopefully it'll be over soon.
Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

How comes all the really sucky stuff happens to you Tai?

I've been lucky enough to life without a family loss so far so I can't really offer any insightful tips on how to get through it but hell it's you you're a tough chick and I'm sure you will.

Puffin, you're tooth sounds like a right pain. Literally. Awkward as well.

Life can only get better though!

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it.

I'm doing okay myself, other than seeing him in the hospital before he died. To me, death is just something that inevitably happens, not a devastating event. It was worse seeing him hooked up to all the machines and in pain. It's also awful that my family is so upset, and there's nothing I can really do about it.

Maybe I'm just strange.

@Puffin: Mouth pain is the worst... but luckily, it also doesn't take too long to heal when cared for properly. I hope you feel better soon.

Aye, it seems you're coping well, though, so keep it up.

And get better soon, Puffin.

Man, today was one of the suckiest days I've had in years.  One of the guys in my year (at sixth form) commited suicide.  I didn't know him very well and, truth be told, he used to bully me quite a bit.  It still came as a complete shock.  There have been three other deaths at my school in the past year (very high considering there are only about 900 pupils) but they were of natural causes, something like this hits much harder.  I spent most of my time sitting with my friends very quietly in the library, occasionally somebody mentioning something he did or something.  I took great pains to avoid the common room, I had to go in there once and it was horrible, there were people crying everywhere, just lying on the floor and stairs.

Wow... that sounds pretty bad. I don't really know what to say, to be honest. I really just hope that it doesn't ruin everyone's A-Levels.

The same thing happened in my school a couple of years ago, people were in the same kind of state.

Oh that's awful :(

A guy from my school commited a suicide in December, just after the exams.. I didn't know him at all, but he was in my english class three years ago and he was usually at the next table to mine in the common area..
