Whoah, I definitely didn't see the reviving of this thread coming.

Good luck with getting that other job Tai, and sorry to hear about your week. Some bosses are just like that, and it tends to lower all aspects of effiency, including the health of the emplyees. I hope that other job works out for you (if you get it), but remember that the grass is always greener on the other side. :bleh:
Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

True most of the time except for jobs in the service industry hehe where those bosses are a dime a dozen. :bleh:

You never know maybe the [X] will be hit by a bus at some point during his life. Sounds like a right [X] and he deserves all the crap he gets. I wish you luck with your new job if you do get it. If you don't I'd advise you quit your current job anyway if it can get you down that much.

My week has been fairly decent Christmas shopping with my brother for parents and finishing school for 2 weeks of ... RELAXATION!

Quitting her job's not that good an option. It's quite hard to get a job 'round there, so it might be better to have a crappy job that pays the bills while looking for a better one than having no income but bills to pay, while looking for a new job.

I went to one of those school reunion thingies tonight, and it was just as dull and stupid as I thought it would be. What a waste of time.

If they're anything like Oxford in that respect, you should get an answer very quickly. But now there's nothing you can do about the decision anyway, so you might as well relax and enjoy the holidays...

Oh yes, a reply is due soon... but that just makes it even more nervewracking.

Remember that you're applying for a degree for which it is vital that you know how to handle stress.:bleh: Seriously, you have to tell yourself that you've done what you could, but now it's out of your hands. Turning into a nervous wreck isn't going to do anybody any good, obviously, since you can't influence their decision anymore. The best thing you can do is relax, read a good book and save all your nervousness for the day when you actually get the envelope.

@Tai: Gaah... I hope you get that other job!!!! Good luck with everything!!

Saturday last week was pretty difficult....
Among other things, I had to wait in Rimini for few hours in freezing cold for a train that got delayed.
I had to pay £27.5 for an overweight bag at an airport. They only took Pounds and Credit cards, I had only euros and kronas. Yay.

But since Saturday, everything has been really awesome :bleh:

read a good book
I can't stay in bed reading a book for two weeks long, now can I?
Anyway, my main problem is that I've got nothing to do but stay inside. The weather outside is dreary and even if I would go to the city I would have to endure throngs of late holiday shoppers. And thus, I am stuck here listening to Ravel's Boléro over and over... the joy.

@Stroggy: Start playing an MMORPG you'll forget about everything...

DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them
DakaSha:and you have a class of little kids hitting eachother with rubber dongs which must be quite funny (also Picklweasel knight I am)
