Well dude you have to do something about it you can't let people make your life *crapola*e, especially in the age that should be the best in your life, don't let them do it as it will affect your later life too...

DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them
DakaSha:and you have a class of little kids hitting eachother with rubber dongs which must be quite funny (also Picklweasel knight I am)

I've actually already got a more than mildly *crapola*e life, I'm very, very depressed (even my doctor says so) but I don't want Prozac or counselling.

And I know it will affect my later life (although depression runs in the family, 3 my great-grandparents commited suicide) but that's the way things go sometimes. I've really lost the will to bother doing anything about it.

Well, that's something you should never say.

You know, willpower is by far the strongest weapon you could have in life, it deals with all the problems, and is your best friend. You mustn't ever let go of that weapon because there's is no reason in life that should make your willpower vanish. Believe me, while things in life tend to go harder and rougher as you grow up, I'm pretty certain that in your case it's just the opposite. I can tell you that majority of your problems would go away as you get older, and regarding the minority that won't... well, as you become more and more mature, you'll learn how to deal with them.

Don't let that problems affect your future life, because any wise human being will tell you that in future you'll be able to walk past those bastards with your self-esteem high as sky when you see what have you accomplished in your life, and what have they in their, as you said it well, *crapola*ty and pathetic lives.

So, put your head up and stand strong!

Pfft. I've been incredibly depressed for five years. I don't think that keeping my head up high and never giving up willl get me anywhere.

I don't think that the problems of growing up will disappear as soon as I get to the age of 18, I think that my childhood will just compound the problems that I'd normally have.

On the other hand, I'm very patient, although lazy. That's a problem, but there we are. We are all born with faults that we cannot change, those two are just that.

I think it would. But, that's just my opinion, and it's your right to be pessimistic.

I have to agree with Overlord. It's highly probable that things will improve as you grow up. Especially when you move away from home and get a fresh start in another place.

Can I ask why? And what are you reading?

I'm having my exam in Scandinavian Lit next Friday. One of my four exam topics is HC Andersen and autobiography, which means I'll have to read Mit Livs Eventyr (did I spell that correctly?). I've already read that other autobiography it was based on (Das Märchen meines Lebens ohne Dichtung, which was published in German eight years before Mit Livs Eventyr), although I haven't managed to get hold of Levnedsbogen or whatever it's called - the one he wrote when he was barely twenty-eight or so. But at least I've read Kun en Spillemand - dreadful book. I've read some theoretical stuff about autobiography as well, so all that's missing is Mit Livs Eventyr so I can start revising for the next topic. Danish is a bit tough, of course, since I haven't actually studied it, but reading is OK. Just takes a bit longer, that's all.

Hmm, that was a lot more detail than you asked for, wasn't it? Sorry about that.

Mit livs eventyr is spelled correctly. :)

I'll admit that I haven't read any of those books, and apart from the one above, I haven't heard of them either. But then again, I'm not the one studying Scandinavian literature. ;)

Good luck on your exam, though.
Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

My day sucked so bad that I would start crying if I talked about it.

It was actually much like PJ's day... only with older versions of the bastards.

And PJ, I feel your pain. People suck sometimes :)

Yeah sucks when people ruin your day like that, really a sucky feeling, had a day like that yesterday that somehow slipped my mind, at work one of the supervisors I work with, kinda a long story, somehow it was just mostly some arguing, not serious or anything, just joking around and such, well anyways he had a somewhat small towel, and after I called him junior, which he didn't like he whipped me on the leg with the towel, okay no biggie right, where does he go next, my right arm, nails me and I'm like nah nothin then bam the pain is so much, I mean it wasn't even wet but still hurt like hell, ahhh and left a nice mark too :) I love it.

Taikara - People suck nearly all of the time, you just have to find a few that don't and stick with them. It's a shame that you had a crap day though, I won't press the issue,

DeathDude... ow... don't take that. Bring in your hockey stick and return the favour on Monday.

A.J - I thought that you were doing English lit, not Danish! Or is it Old English lit, so you have to see the roots from Danish, German and I imagine a bit of Latin?
