Somehow you can be mayor of your simcity forever, somehow age doesn't seem to exist for the mayor, but for everyone else. (Sim City Series)

*casts a ressurection spell*

The only way to save the world from the evil of humanity is simple enough - just kill everyone. Plants and inanimate objects are optional, but hey, explosions are cool, so why not?

Yeah maybe that's why half the time the bad guys fail in these games, so focused on destroying everyone and everything, gives the good guys plenty of time to do their tasks and eventually face off against them. :sneaky:

It doesn't really matter how much your equipment weighs, but the number of distinct objects is what's important - you can carry 78 rations of food and 14 suits of platemail, but try carrying 16 different scrolls of parchment and you'll run out of room in your pack.

They're magical scrolls, silly. They need room to breathe.

From games in general: There is no such thing as a permanent state of death. If you ever kick the bucket, you just load a previous save-game. Boy, that sure will come in handy.

If your enemy is hard to spot, no need for glasses or lenses. Just adjust the resolution...

If things get a bit hectic, or your mom calls you in the middle of the battle, just pause the war. The enemy will wait.

I wouldn't bet on that in any multiplayer game. :sneaky:

DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them
DakaSha:and you have a class of little kids hitting eachother with rubber dongs which must be quite funny (also Picklweasel knight I am)

Yeah sadly the concept of stopped action in multiplayer hasn't caught on yet. :sneaky:

Yeah, but then again, I never play mp games  :sneaky:
I'm the worst soldier in history of warfare, I generally hate RTSs with one single exception. and I don't want to pay to play a game I already got.

But I guess you're right about pausing in real time multi player games. It would be slightly confusing and annoying.

Think that would depend moreso on the type of rts game that is going on moreso.

I've learned essentially the opposite: it doesn't matter how bulky objects are, just as long as you can support the weight of them. You can be carrying 20 tree logs or 1,000,000,000 pieces of gold, as long as you're strong enough to carry it all (although I have no idea how they fit into your backpack...).

ADOM isn't really typical in that respect, though.:sneaky:

Yeah in some games it's changing, or least to have a limited amount of inventory like Deus Ex for example, rather than the whole notion of really deep pockets to carry the things, hopefully we'll also see with more games if ya do carry more gear, it'll slow you down and all that, that idea be implemented more into games, even just a few would be interesting to see.
