Heh since taxes are already quite the burden at times, they just had to add this, hopefully it never catches on elsewhere. :P

DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them
DakaSha:and you have a class of little kids hitting eachother with rubber dongs which must be quite funny (also Picklweasel knight I am)

@Juni: Yeah, that was my favorite - that's the best review I've ever seen. The sad part is, I bought that game for $5 like 5 years ago just to see what it was like, and I can vouch for that entire review as being 100% accurate.

@eunuch-discussing people: It'd be nice if the IRS deluged you with a serenade every once and a while in payment for your taxes. I for one wouldn't mind that. :sneaky:

^Well, I was supprised they had the balls to do something like that. Imagine when the people start realizing that their semi-deities are very much working for the secular Indian IRS.

Not quite "current events", but a long and boring JCR mailing I just got also contained this passage, which certainly did make me "go whaa?" :P

odd passage in the JCR mailing said:

Stonewall just sent us several 'Gay and Lesbian Recruitment Guides' which have
pretty covers and lots of company information. If this is your cup of tea, let
one of us know and we will pidge one to you - discreetly if it's important. If
you want one please tell us whether you're a finalist or not as they get
priority - this is an annual guide. To those still confused: it's a book about
jobs for LGB people, not a guide as to how to recruit people to our ranks!
Well, I suppose someone tried to be funny and didn't quite succeed.:sneaky:

Makes sense to me actually - they're technically in breach of the Act, and it COULD be confusing for stupid vegetarians - changing it to "Welsh Dragon Pork Sausages" isn't exactly going to make them waste their marketing budget or anything...

Wait! Are they implying that vegeterians believe in dragons? To me that story was one big "wha-wha-what??!!

But David Beitchman, a lawyer for Mary Carey, said he believed Mariah Carey stood little chance of winning a court battle over the names.

Is he too a porn star, because his last name sure sounds like it.

Bumpity bump. Russia exporting air-defence missiles to Iran.

Quote

The deal - worth $700m (£380m) and signed last year - has angered the US and Israel who say Iran may use the missiles to attack its neighbours.
Why does that sound like preparing for air-strike? And since when independent nation hasn't had right to defend itself? Well... this has happened before, and will happen again.
