Holy *crapola*!

DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them
DakaSha:and you have a class of little kids hitting eachother with rubber dongs which must be quite funny (also Picklweasel knight I am)

If you haven't already watched the accompanying video clip, I would recommend not doing so, especially if you have a weak stomach.
It actually shows (briefly) a bit of what was pulled out of the guy - it's much like horror come to life, really. I can't believe that they're actually showing it.

I imagine it looks sort of like those bottled creatures in BG2 in Irenicus's laboratory...

actually, if it had been in a bottle, it would have been less disturbing.
As disturbing as that is...

That is highly fascinating, and insanely scary. Imagine being the guy, wake up from the surgery and be told "You know that belly of yours, the one we thought might have a tumour in it? Well... long story short, we removed your twin brother, who's been living in there for 36 years."

Well for the guy it's actually good news, since tumours are much more dangerous as much more common as they are...

Hilarious, that was in an episode of the Venture Brothers about two years ago, Doctor Venture had swallowed his twin brother into himself when he was still in his mother's womb, never imagine something like that in real life

That's just....
Damn.
As far nature's mistakes? The fossil record is full of them. What we know of the evolutionary mechanism tells us that trial and error on a massive scale leads to...well oil amongst other things--but more importantly, very diverse, very adaptable, very hardy (within certain conditions) forms of life.
