Actually that's a common misconception, it's not really easier. You have to learn many different verb conjecations, many different tenses, from past, future, present, to past perfect, conditional, imperfect, and more, and there are plenty of different rule sets that take time to memorize and actually understand how to use properly. It's a big language and to actually be quite fluent and have a good pronuciation takes years of much practice and more, it's still a language and still has it's challenges like any.

I would have thought English was really hard to learn, because of all of the auxilliary verbs.

In most languages, "I play tennis" and "I am playing tenning" are said in the same way, for example.

I suppose English is easy in terms of "the" and "a" compared to a lot of langauges, though.

Yes, that's what we kept being told at school as well. It's rubbish, though. English looks simple enough, but there's more to it than meets the eye. Learning enough to make yourself understood isn't too hard, but learning it well is actually quite tricky.

Naw, Spanish may not be as easy as one thinks, but it IS easier than most of the other languages that you can take, it's easier than French, German, and especially Latin.

And what proof do you have that it is easier than the languages you listed? Have you ever taken spanish yourself? Trust me as a student who has been studying the language for 5 years and counting in school (Plus many more years counted, since have been hearing and using it at home at times since my mom comes from Peru.) it's not as easy as you may think, especially with all the clauses, rules, and tenses you have to memorize as well to use them properly both in writing and in conversation is not easy, especially when there is many different scenarios in place depending on what you are talking about.

Latin is a fairly logical language, though, so shouldn't that make it easier to pick up than most?

The thing with latin is that you'll learn languages like Spanish and Italian much easier if you know it, since they derive from it, and have many similarities...

Wtf, I switched my Latin class to French, cause I had NO clue what was going on, French is much easier in my opinion.

Only honors class I have is Science, and since I failed math like nearly every other "not perfect" person in my school, I have to redo the same class again.

Most of the time, I'm just bored.
I guess I'm the lazy student, I usually just fool around with friends more than I pay attention to work.

Haven't been held back once though ;) good enough for me.

And :P, you don't like swimming? That's one of the main reasons I go to school during the second half of the year, it's three hours of boredom, then an hour of swimming, whee! Seriously, playing basketball in the water is both dangerous and fun :P
