"Sar" and "Ambers of dream" will be two action-adventure games set in the same universe, but different time-frames. The first one takes place in the ancient past, the other - in the present. Development of "Sar" is slowly moving towards its end while the foundations for the next game are being slowly laid down.

"Sar" takes place millions of years ago, in the ancient interstellar empire of Aettan at the point of its collapse. Toeg, the capital of Aettan, is torn by civil war between members of revolutionary organisations that strive to overthrow the ancient monarchic reign - only to replace it with even more repressive form of authority - and the equally relentless state militia. The protagonist, At Teuren, is hardly a saint either - being a ruthless operative of the security force Haregnav Thainan (called also the Guard) he have mercilessly tortured and killed many of his own kin in the name of preservation of the current order. Just as the burden of his sins starts to weight down on him, he learns of the existence of what appears to be a vast religious movement, completely unknown to both authorities and rebels.

"The Ambers of dream", on the other hand, will be set - or at least begin - on the present day's Earth. The storyline will be tad more complex, involving, among other things, a russian scienist who dies in mysterious circumstances after making controversial discovery, a high-school student with a troubled life whose reality becomes warped - literally - after he receives a beating from a school gang, and some futher insights into the nature of spatio-temporal Continuum that were only hinted at in "Sar".

  And here come the screenshots:

Screenshots from "Sar". As you can see, it's a 2D adventure game, but those who expect it to be a "traditional" point-and-click adventure game will be suprised at best:

Most of the models from the screenshot were created in Wings3D. And so were these:

I'm not adept in organic modelling, so bear with me. English be no my native language, so bear with this also. And thank you for taking time and reading this somewhat boring post. :bleh:

EDIT: I guess it should go into "Games in development" forum. My apologies...

this seems great, however I feel I have to ask( actulay I'm surprised noone has asked yet), is there some sort of website to this project?

a1s: The website for "Sar" is located at alekmosingiewicz.cjb.net, but it's not complete (lacks the storyline section). Not much to it, yet... I've also got a playable demo on my ftp server. It's 30MB zipped with 7-zip, so if you're interested I'd rather upload it to rapidshare or some other free file hosting service.

30 MB and that's just a demo? Bloody hell.:bleh:

Sounds good, though.

Don't be misled by the download's size. The demo is extremely short, even though AGS compiled it to - well - about three times the size of download (glory to 7-zip!). It only features some pseudo-3d graphics of sad quality and demonstrations of concepts behind "Sar" (e.g. - player's decisions influence the action to some extent, puzzles have usually more than just one solution, entire gameplay is storyline-and-character oriented, etc). Another sad thing is that "Sar", unlike "Ambers", started primarily as an exercise in 3d pre-rendered graphics, only to evolve into actual game after some time. I seriously doubt people will like it. The "Ambers", on the other hand, are older and concomitantly more mature as a concept than "Sar". Even though their storyline is much, much more warped.

So how much of the games has been completed, then?
