Oh... I thought you meant a text-adventure game (interactive fiction) like Zork etc.

Because I certainly wouldn't code that in C++, there's a whole different coding system that's simpler for that.

Ah well...

Well, yes, but what's the point if what you want is a plain text adventure? There are special engines for that.

It'd be easy enough for a simple game, but it sounds like what he's doing needs a little more complexity, instead of just simple trigger and event scripting that most simple text engines give.

I'm sticking with C++. I found a nifty site that will help me to some extent. I think I'll have a playable version sometime in the near future(a couple of months, maybe less), depending on how much I'm willing to code per day.
