If it's an updated version of punchout that I wouldn't mind.

Time to bring this topic back to life.
I recently got pretty excited because I heard Sony would be offering PS games for the PSP for download for a price online, I was going to go check it out when I went and read an article detailing that you have to buy these games over your PS3 and then transfer them to the PSP.
To me, this is just another lame marketing ploy to sell more PS3s, my philosophy is, if you want to sell software for a console, make it for the system alone, don't make me pay $600 dollars so I can download some second rate games for a system that's already stuffed with PS2 ports.

I don't know about that.
It's kind of hard to sell more when you can't produce enough supply to meet the demand... and not counting the noncommercial resellers (aka ebay price gougers), they aren't hiking up the prices to reflect that lack of supply... what would be the point of a "lame marketing ploy" that serves no purpose?
It's probably not so much a lame marketing ploy as it's just some lame "brilliant" idea some dumb executive came up with to cover up the console's deficiencies... and maybe turn a buck or two in the process.

Icks bad strategy Sony is doing with that. Its a bit cunning too just to buy a ps3 but don't think that's going to bring a lot of sales their way. Seems like everyone this generation is going after the old classic games idea, and so far the 360 and Wii have nailed the ideas nicely, the wii has some kinks to work out, but its a great concept, this idea of sony's though isn't going to do much for them.

Nothing technically "bad" about it, it's a fairly standard practice to charge for services or products that are considered extras, it's just pretty convoluted, and doesn't make much sense when you consider that most people who have PSPs and PS3s probably also have PS2s, which play PSOne games...
But it depends on what PSOne games they're offering, too - some are stupidly hard to get, though many hardcore gamers who would be that fanatical about it didn't likely trade in their PSOne games at EBG and the ilk. There are a few PSOne titles I never got to play, though, that I'd be interested in obtaining. Still, I think it would make more sense to re-release them for PSP directly rather than going through the "around the elbow to get to your nose" approach of downloading through the PS3. They're actually limiting the marketability that way.

I was bored with it. But anyway, I saw a video of someone who hooked up a Wiimote to their computer via Blue Tooth, and using the tilt sensors in the remote and some other stuff, played Half-Life 2 with it. Take a look.

Yeah but after controllers, games and other accessories you'll end up paying way more in the end, for having to support two consoles, at the same time. Granted it is still two consoles, will be interesting to see if the ps3 gets a drop point, if it's going to happen think next year around the time of E3 or whatever the new show is called that is being replaced, will be the time it will happen, if it indeed does happen.
