OK, seems like I killed off the discussion with my previous post. I take it back: Beethro looks NOTHING like Titan.

Anway, I finished level 9 today (annoying, but not quite as annoying as level 8).

Oh man, I can't believe you got this game! I haven't played it in ages yet immediatly recognized it by the little screenie in the news post.
I used to have the original DROD (though I was too stupid to figure most of it out back then) but lost the CD with it, great to know the author remade it for free. Time to waste countless hours at this!

Gah, I think I need help again...
As you can see from the screenshot, I can easily clear the first two chambers, but by the time I'm done with the second one, the third one is already too full of roaches. Whichever way I slip in, I'm always surrounded.

if I remember, that one is mostly about timing. I'm not sure (it's been a while), but I also think you can clear it out a bit if you're tricky about it.

Well, the help threads on the forums were completely useless to me... Oh well, thanks anyway. I'll just have to keep trying, then.

This is probably just going to end up being one of those rooms that you beat it and don't know what you did different

The timing matters in the first part of that room. The last two breeders can be cleaned out even if the entire room is filled with bugs.

But only one of the two entries can be used there

You were quite right, DD. I solved it yesterday. Now there's only two rooms missing on level 10, Once East and the one above that. They're probably not even difficult rooms (or at least there don't seem to be any help threads on the forum), but those glass spiders are just plain annoying, because half of the time you can't bloody see them. Gah.

I just discovered another shortcut on level 12. I don't think I feel ready for level 14, 15 and 16 just yet, though...

A shortcut on 12 you say *writes that down* interesting but yeah can imagine 14, 15 and 16 will be an even greater leap in challenge than the one on level 3 was.

Not really. The one on level four allowed you to skip one to two levels. This one allows you to skip one to three. Except that the levels are getting much tougher, obviously.
