Salutations, wood. Welcome to the site :P

The Black Hole theory seems to be correct, just to let you know. I've been there once, and I am already planning to move there for good :P

As for "kvetch", I think it also means to talk yiddish in German - although I am not sure. I just think I have heard my sister use the word a couple of times.

Yo!

Not that I'm aware of... It's definitely a Yiddish word, not a German one. But I wasn't familiar with it.

Yes, unfortunately, once you cross the event-horizon, you're pretty much done.  Additionally, there is a time dialation effect.

Sure it's not yiddish? I never heard that word before. If you could give me the German infinitive, I could check. Let me have a look meanwhile.

No, with that spelling it's most certainly Yiddish. German would be... I dunno - quetschen??:P

Well, before I saw Tai using it, I had never heard or seen of it before. And I never ended up asking what it means. But if it's Yiddish, then I don't even need to know, as I've never seen it anywhere except here...

And welcome aboard! :P

That's what I thought. Anyway, no results except for the English meaning - complain, whine, and the like.

I think I've got a Yiddish dictionary lying around somewhere... That one has some etymological information as well, I think, so I might check there. It'll require some major searching, though.:P

Ahem. Sorry for perpetuating the off-topicness.:P

Hola. I have posted here before.. and a few might still recognise me, but I'll do this anyways. ^__^;

My name's Stine, I'm a Norwegian girl, born 27th of Oct. 1988 =P And yah, I live in Trondheim, so if you've got enough gold, I might just stalk Tom for you. [Wha? :max:]
I'm going to school downtown (supposed to do so anyways) and my current subjects, except those I'm obliged to have, are advanced English, Latin and basic lawstudies. And no, I have no clue whatsoever what to do with that in the future -.- Unfortunately the computerclass I wanted was cancelled D:
Oh well. I love manga, anime, languages, animals, drawing, almost any kind of music, and my friends. :ok:

... I guess you are bored to death already, but yeah. <3
