Linkage
Looks pretty funky - like an ANSCII Dungeon Keeper on crack, with a sprinkling of grated The Settlers on top, baked in the heat of a loooong development cycle and a lot of hard work until golden brown, and garnished with a number of videos and their own wee viewer to watch them in.
If you can make any sense out of what I just posted, you're clearly an even more warped individual than I.

According to the Dwarf Fortress game forums, first playable version will be released after less than a month.
If the gameplay will be as great as impressions from the movies, DF will be a wonderful game.

This looks nice. Very nice. (Although not as nice as JADE
) I'll definitely be sure to give it a run (or two
) when it comes out.

It IS TOO GONNA BE NICER THAN JADE! Not even a new roguelike could be better than this

I dunno, JADE'll probably be awesome. The big advantage this one has is that we'll actually be able to play it (albeit in beta form) in a week and a bit!

It's a game. A very cool looking one. The "beta version" of which will be released tomorrow...
Wait.. Tomorrow? It really is tomorrow. My god... After all this waiting... To think I've been lurking there since 2004...

What is it about a beautiful sunny afternoon, with the birds singing and the wind rustling through the leaves, that makes you want to get drunk?

I like your in-depth explanation, Aristharus.
Potatoe: If you've ever played Dungeon Keeper, like Beef has already stated, it's very similar to that. If you haven't, then it's a game where you command your minions to hollow out tunnels in the side of a mountain, designate rooms for carpentry, tool-making, warrior training, etc..., all in a vain attempt to hold off the ever-increasingly difficult waves of armies of your jealous enemies.
