Wells I'm not saying that they are the only exception to the rule, but if you look at other bands in progressive metal especially, how many are like Dream Theater? Probably isn't many that are well known, there may be some like it, but the fact that they have been doing this for 20 years, without compromising their style, selling out and the most important part putting out a live product that is one of the tops in music today, ya really have to listen to each of their albums to get a general idea of them, listening to only one or two won't cut it imo.

DD, now you're assuming I haven't been listening DT enough. Well, maybe. Maybe because it doesn't satisfy me enough to focus enough to it. But yes, you are correct: you have to listen and treat band's whole production, if you want whole picture of them. But I don't see point in that. Of course they must have a whole set of different themes in their songs, but if they don't touch me, they don't. Still they play good music and I can listen it. I even occasionally on purpose put their music playing.
